The „wind of change” blew Krzysztof Sędzikowski from the position of CEO of Kompania Węglowa. Resignation was submitted on Friday. Sędzikowski did not revealed his reasons behind this decission. According to his motion, he will hold the position until the end of the year.

Katowicki Holding Węglowy was moved to the state enterprise on Thursday. The same trick was used two weeks ago on Kompania Węglowa. Wojciech Kowalczyk, Government’s Representative for the Restructuring of Polish Coal Mining Sector said that this small decision was a “milestone for finding a new investor for KHW”.

September’s update on last week’s data on Polish coal mining results for August: production rised to the level from July, but comparing it YOY to the previous year it fell by 5.6% (6.46 million tons in IX 2014, 6.10 million tons in IX 2015).
