Decrease in production in first 9 months of 2015 was followed by increase in sales (by 5.5%) and accounted for 53.4m Mt. Domestic sales accounted for 86.6% of total sales (46.2m Mt) and was 1.7m Mt higher that in the January-September period of 2014 (4%).
Sales to the coking plants increased by 8.9% in the above mentioned period YOY and sales directed to heat plants dropped by 5.5% YOY.
Steam coal had 81.6% of share in total hard coal sales. Total sales to the power producers increased in first 9 months of 2015 by 1.7% YOY. The largest volume of coal sold to the power producers was recorded in March (3m Mt), the lowest – in February (2.4m Mt).
