According to the agreement between Tauron and Kompania Węglowa, the energy group was supposed to buy from Silesian producer coal for 2.4bn PLN in the period of 2013-15. In the light of the latest annual account, the total sum for coal purchased by Tauron was almost 400m PLN smaller (2.014bn PLN).

Still in charge over the energy groups, Head of the Ministry of Treasury Dawid Jackiewicz angered stock market analytics and announced that they won’t be paying dividends, because they will need resources to get involved in saving the mining industry.

Following the story on EDF’s sales out, Energa’s VP of strategy and development Roman Pionkowski said, that his company is keen to acquire heat&power plants in Gdańsk, Gdynia and Toruń.
